SAN ANTONIO, TX — The energy was palpable inside the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center today as the 27th ASCE UESI/BAMI-I Utility Investigation School (UIS) and the Underground Infrastructure Conference (UIC) officially opened their doors.
This landmark collaboration brought together engineers, utility owners, and technology innovators for a powerful day of education and networking.
Highlights from Day 1:
- Mastering the Standards: In the UIS classrooms, attendees dove straight into the complexities of ASCE 38-22 and ASCE 75-22. Led by industry veterans, these sessions moved beyond theory, focusing on the practical application of standards that reduce project risk and liability.
- Innovation on Display: The UIC Exhibit Hall floor was buzzing with activity as attendees explored the latest advancements in trenchless technology, geophysical tools, and asset management software.
- Connecting the Industry: From the morning coffee breaks to the evening reception, the convergence of these two major events created a unique environment for collaboration.
Looking Ahead: As we move into Day 2, the focus shifts to hands-on demonstrations and deeper technical tracks. If you are on-site, be sure to visit the BAMI-I booth to meet our new Board of Directors and learn more about our upcoming initiatives for 2026.
